USDA Bulletin 404: Hemp Hurds as Papermaking Material

Lyster Dewey co-wrote “USDA Bulletin 404: Hemp Hurds as Papermaking Material” with Jason Merrill and it was published by the USDA in October of 1916. The research my Merrill showed that hemp hurd (woody core of the stalk) could effectively be used to manufacture paper and replace trees as a non-renewable source of cellulose.
